Sunset at Gran Paradiso

This sunset was shot last July at Chabod Refuge, within Gran Paradiso National Park, italian Alps. Chabod Refuge is located at about 2750 meters of altitude on the north side of Gran Paradiso. The valley in the picture is Valsavarenche.
It is a panoramic view from 3 vertical shots. It is also the combination of two exposures, blended using a layer mask.

Being the sum of different images the small version could suffer a lot from compression. We provided a larger version too.

You caught a beautiful moment! But the picture gives me a strange feeling: going to fall in the middle and on the right side. Sorry.

This is very beautiful. I like the upside down V the creek and trail make in the foreground, and the atmosphere is just fantastic. The larger image is a must view
