Beautiful scene, Michael. I think resizing/compression has hurt this web presentation a bit, but the composition and color looks good.

Very surreal. Where is this? Looks like Caddo Lake between TX and LA.

Nice shot! I'm not too excited about the bright sky at the bottom and the oranges in the leaves look just a bit over saturated but overall this is a very pretty shot. Feels like it needs a bit of a CW rotation.

Very pretty and the comp is very good, but the left is very contrasty and the eye is drawn to the blown sky and the black, detail-less fg tree trunk

Beautiful Michael. Love the composition and color. The sky reflected in the water seems quite bright and distracting to my eye; perhaps this can be toned down a bit. Other than that, this is outstanding.

Beautiful scene MH and I like the way the composition is balanced both in shape and in color.

Amazing colors, who knew that the swamp had more colors than green. Nice work Michael.

Nice scene you captured here. I really like the low angle-kind of looking under the trees. I wonder if you could crop the very top bright spot out, and burn down the hot highlights in the water a touch. Also, I think this is kind of an illusion, but the image seems to tilt a bit downward to the left. Well done as-is though. Chip

Michael,
Great image. You inspire this Louisiana photographer. As good as this image is, I agree with earlier comments about the visually heavy black trunk at left, bright reflections, and possible need for cw rotation.

Thanks for the comments. The rotation is not necessary. Camera was level, it's because of the angle related to the flow of the lake. Tony K luminosity masks are applied, so hot spots, not much more I can do about it. I've done LOTS of masking down through the years on this image, and cropped it about a hundred ways, this is the 'full' version. The only thing that's actually WRONG with this version is too much saturation, contrast and blue. This one is closer to the real color and the way it is hanging on my wall.... Thanks again.

Michael,,,,,the scene in the first is beautiful. The color was a bit bold for my tastes (at the moment anyway). The second scene is my favorite of the two. The comp and color have a much nice feel to me. It does look like a fantastic location to wade around in.
