Below Shannon Falls

In late October my daughter and I traveled to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to get away for a few days. While there we drove the Sea to Sky Highway to Squamish. We stopped at Shannon Falls to take a few pictures. Here is one from just below the falls.

On my screen the photo is too dark.
Perhaps a more oblique stream presentation would also be in order. This would give more depth perception.

Lee,

Certainly a pleasant and pretty streamside image. I like the rocks and the little hints of water cascading over them. I might agree that it is slightly dark, which adds to the only real issue I have with this image. The stream is nice, but the background forest lacks any definition or depth. The color on the left is nice, but also the trees/vegetation on the island merge completely with the background. I don't know what you could have done differently and I know the small web presentation doesn't help here either. The only other suggestion is to wait out and hope for more favorable lighting, but that always isn't in the cards, especially when traveling with family.
