Oblivion

Moments when we have no awareness of our immediate surroundings but are absorbed into the space and moment because of the unfolding beauty before us. This was one for me.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Nice work Morris. Even though the sea looks rough out far, the image is really calming to me. Just makes me want to be there enjoying the moment. I might try burning the upper right corner a bit.

The long exposure and soft colors gives this a nice peaceful feel.

The smoothing of the waves and soft colors give this a calm feel. Very nice.

Great take of the Na Pali. My home :-) Would have preferred some clouds to spice it up but like the pastel colors.

Im guessing this aint Colorado...
Real pretty Morris! The sky looks somewhat purple up top, not necessarily bad, but makes me curious how the color balance would be affected if it were closer to blue.

Been there, done that (the lost in the light state), not this actual place. The layers and colors here are very nice. I particularly like how the soft pinks contrast with the soft greens.

Thanks so far to everyone for your comments and your time. Yes, Aaron nailed it. It is the Na Pali coast of Kauai. I took this a few years back. With the economy the way it is, I probably won't make it back there again, but that is the great thing about photos, instant memory and sensory recall.
Stan, this was Velvia, so it's a little oversaturated probably, but I like it anyway.
Chip, thanks I will tame that urc, and everyone, calming is what I was going for, so it seems it is being translated.

excellent choice of shutter speed, the waves are dreamy, but not slowed down to a mist
