Lonesome Cabin

This image was taken a couple of years ago in Montana on the eastern edge of Glacier National Park. We had visited my wife's parents in Kalispell and were driving through the park on Rt.2 just west of Browning when we happened on this abandoned cabin. As I set up this shot I couldn't help but imagine what it was like, back in the day, to work a spread like this without the conveniences we enjoy today. Chief Mountain is in the background.
