More from Caddo Lake

This is an older scan, and the best I have, so I'm aware that it might create a compression problem. I don't want to dig out the chrome to scan it again, so apologies.

The trees look like soldiers. I really like the repetition between the trees, ans the contrast between the soft green and the dark orange. I bet the original transparency on a light table is downright amazing. I don't think the green plant in the midground on the floor contributes to the composition here, but without it the shot would look too perfect... as though it was created with CG. Awesome work!

Getting an 8x10 around here must be a challenge. Lovely colors on the trees and the ground cover. Nice work.

Beautiful. Only suggestion would be to tone down the green plants just a little bit to make them a little obvious but that's a tiny issue. Other than that - perfect. :toast:

I have never seen a place like it in person and I'm truly fascinated by it. I love the interesting palette of the mosses and fallen needles. Your images from here are some of my favorites in your portfolio.

Michael,

Another beautiful shot of one of my favorite ecosystems. Thanks for posting these.

I dunno what was to to the lower left that may have been driving your composition, but: this area seems a little little pinched against the frame boundary, and I wonder how a composition that didn't push the closest tree and knee, even sacrificing a bit of the lovely high moss and more uniform rhs of the frame, might have looked...

This is my favorite of your recent cypress images, Michael. The heavy moss and stacked trunks shows the density of this stand of trees.

This looks like a brooding primeval forest. I love the columns of trunks and the mosses.
