Reaching for the Heavens

A different view of a very nice sky before a recent sunrise behind my home. On this version I attempted to get less of the trees and more of the incredible sky that I first noticed out of my back window while sitting at my computer. Any C&C welcomed of course! Oh, the tree on the right does have a CCW lean to it.

Hi Bill,

The light looks nice and your shot is clear. Your sky looks a bit noisy on my monitor and can be cleaned up for sure. I would crop up a bit from the bottom to eliminate some of the distracting branches protruding into the shot from the corners. I hope this helps. Michael

The sky is interesting but the image composition should be adjusted. Either you should show more sky and less trees or more trees and less sky. I'd try to crop the top and expand the bottom. This will result in more balaced composition. :toast:

Thanks Michael and Miro... first, I do see the noise now that you mention it. Secondly, this is a fairly substantial crop of the image, trying to eliminate some of the branches while keeping the blue in the sky. However, I took a series of them using the trees in the comp, vertical and landscape. Another example...
