Welcome Douglas, on my screen this looks a little dark, often when shooting the underside of a bird against a bright sky you will need to add some positive exposure compensation. There´s a dust spot near the bottom just right of center. I´m looking forward to seeing more of your work. :toast:

I like the main birds pose and that you have almost complete separation of all the birds in the frame. If this is not full frame I would crop to add space on the right side in front of the main bird. Looking forward to more great images from you.

Hi Douglas,

I think three of the OOF birds in the background add interest but the one at the upper left doesn't add to the comp IMO because it is clipped off.

I think the you could have gone with f8 to f9 and gotten the primary bird sharper with the increase in shutter speed you would have gained. And as Nate mentioned dialing in some positive EV may have helped with how dark the primary bird seems.

Glad to have you here at NPN Avian, looking forward to seeing more of your work.
