Magnificent Riches
by Cory O'Neill
This Sierra peak lit up one evening after 2 days of storming. I can hardly think of any landscape more beautiful than the a 13er clearing after an early summer rain.
All comments and suggestions are very appreciated.
I hope this holiday finds you warm with the glow of family and friends. Merry Christmas!

This is Bear Creek Spire at the head of Little Lakes Valley. It is one of my favorite mountains in the range.
Your image of it is quite nice. I think the sky is a tad too dark, otherwise this works very well. Just a thought on poarizers at high altitude--the light is already naturally polarized, slightly. So, you don't need as much added polarization from the filter. I really like the light on the NW face and the glow in the clouds.
Good job!

Preston: This was my first visit to LLV, and it was, needless to say, purely enchanting. The weather was not as cooperative as I had hoped it would be, but it was dynamic, and the bugs weren't bad. I took this both with and without the polarizer. I ended up liking this version primarily because of the luminosity difference. The non-polarized version ended up with sky and golden rock competing for my attention. Thanks again for your critique and encouragement!
