Fallen Tree and Leaves

This was shot returning from Summit Lake near Mt. Rainier. I tried to capture the sense of nature growing over and enveloping the decaying limb. The light was very even and the textures compelling in some notable way.

Pentax K20D, DA 35mm Ltd. macro, 1/45 @ f8, ISO 400.
Some post processing in Lightroom.

Thanks,

A wonderful shade of silvery/green. Great light. The comp and dof are excellent as well.

I like this very much Michael as posted. I might consider lightening the log at the left side of the frame a touch but I'm not sure about that either. I love the silver green. This might also work well as a conversion to mono. Very nice image.

A very beautiful, serenely composed image, Michael ! I love the subtle tonality, and the theme you were looking for is just perfectly expressed.

Michael: Neat find and a fine comp and capture. The color of the leaves intrigues me. My first impression was this was too blue but when looking at the color values I'm not so sure. 2 thumbs up! >=))>
