Montseny

I hope it's o.k. if I only borrow the cloudy sky from the previous photograph. Taken in the Montseny region in Catalunya, Spain.

What I think I'm giving the next person to work with (well, if you find something else, go for it ): Cloudy sky, the color green, trees & bushes, rock pillars, and, as a more abstract concept, the insignificance of man compared to nature (there are two tiny rock climbers (resting, not climbing) in that photo ).

Techs: Nikon D300, Tokina 12-24 DX.

This is lovely Basil, I enjoy how the sky almost becaomes a mist between the canyon, the rock pillars and the rich greens.

Interesting; once you see the climbers the shot takes on a whole different perspective--much more effective! Somewhat of a stretch from the previous photo--but so was that one, and the one before it....

Had you not mentioned the climbers I wouldn't have even seen them. Overall, a very nice image!

Thanks for commenting. Stan - apologies if this is stretching the rules too much. I honestly thought that this would be o.k., and looking at the thumbnails side-by side IMO does show a common element between the two. Beyond the pictorial similarity of the sky itself, I also consider both shots attempts of getting something nice in spite of not so great weather, a not overly exciting sky, and relatively dull light. "Making the best of it", so to say.

Basil,
despite of the dull light you managed to get a good work. I like the green and the pillars a lot.
