Orange Horns

Hi all

Once I browse the file I've decided to show you this compressed image of Paine horns at dawn. We climbed up to a lookout called Mirador del condor to get stunning views of the south face of Paine massif.

It's amazing how glaciers have sculpted the granite to create those incredible spires.

I hope you like it

Great shot of this beautiful range. For whatever reason, I don't see too many taken in good light (like you've got here). I might increase the contrast in the bottom 1/3 or so of the frame . . . it seems a little drab.

Beautiful light and color. I'd love to see this large to see the detail in the granite from the sculpting glaciers.

They definitely are some unique and impressive peaks, and you've got some really nice light on them. My only suggestion would be the same as Phil's, as it looks rather hazy and dull, so some simple contrast adjustments could really spice it up.

Totally beautiful! It goes over the top with the aforementioned contrast adjustment. I agree it would be great to see a larger image. :toast:

I'd agree with some previous suggestions - you may want to increase the contrast (darken the shadows) of that photograph a little. Otherwise, it's absolutely stunning.

Great light and an amazing location. Maybe a slight boost in constrast, but what a beautiful image.

Superb mountain shot, Roberto! Maybe a bit more contrast or a bit darker for the parts of the mountains that are in shadow, so that the sunlit portions look more luminous rather than simply a brighter color. Thanks for sharing! :wavey:

Roberto,

The image really has a 3D feel to it. Makes it very appealing.

Yes! This is magnificent. This composition really makes the mountains seem so dramatic. The light wonderfully supports it as well. :toast:

This is just really well done. I understand the reason for some of the comments that it's a bit flat and the suggestions to add contrast but I'm not sure about that. I really like the natural look here. It's subtle and very effective. That slight glow of early morning sun on the peaks and clouds is fantastic. I might suggest cropping out the small piece of mountain on the right side.

Incredible image. I like the fact that there are now hard shadows here. Just lots of rich, textured areas and glow.

This is so beautiful. The glow is outstanding. I am also enjoying all of the different shapes of these majestic peaks.

I can never get enough of these peaks - they are just too amazing. Great capture - I would just reduce the saturation of the orange on the peaks. It's a little too much for me.
