Mute swan - Cygnus olor

The mute swan native to Europe and Asia, is however an introduced species to North America. Far from being mute, this swan is capable of vocalizations however they tend to be less vocal than other swan species.
This male was photographed in a pond near my home, southwestern British Columbia.

I tried to keep this image simple and serene. Thank you for viewing and I appreciate any comments.

Nice composition, well done Darren. Only thing I wish for is for the face/head to be a bit brighter, as your eye is really drawn to the bright white body.

Really neat pose, Darren. On my monitor, it looks like you could increase the brightness slightly. I also like the composition that the pose creates. :toast:

A little dark around the head, but easily correctable. I think you succeeded in your intent for the image. Well done! :toast:

Darren, I like the comp and the feeling this image gives me. the only thing I would like to see is a bit of light in the eye to give it a touch more life. Well done otherwise.

Love the mood of the image and how quiet it is. Like the rest maybe a little fill light tool on the head or even a small PS dodge.

Very nice shot, with the reflection adding a lot.
