I took close-ups of autumn-leaves, when I met this furious redbreast protecting his area. There was early morning and the light was nice but not enough to faster exp.

I like the head-on pose, Istvan. Excellent detail where it matters, and I find that Ilike the way the tail is oof in this image. :toast:

I can tell you were being called to task by this lovely bird. I too think the OOF tail works in this instance indicating movement. Nice details in the face and feet.

This is a great image Istvan. I like the DOF for this shot. It works for me because of the head on pose and the aggresive nature of the bird. The OOF areas on the bird add to the sense of anger in the bird IMO. I also like the perch and the BG. I do wish the blue spot to the right of the bird was a little less bright like the ones to the left, as it does grab my attention a bit. That is a very small nit. Overall, a wonderful shot with a lot of emotion.

Very nice; the DOF in this case is really perfect. The blue spot on the right is a bit distracting, but not an issue. IMHO

Love the color and the DOF but I wish you had posted the larger version. Nice shot overall.

Great detail where it matters. I think the dof is perfect and makes for a great bg.

Many people take issue with out-of-focus tails, but for me and this shot in particular, the focus and viewers eye locks onto the birds face and amazing red-breast.
I always love seeing photos of European Robins as they remind me of home.
I agree that the blue blob is distracting , but I think you could clone it out if you wanted to.
