Walker River Cottonwood

I've been watching this site for a few months and finally decided to join in the fun. I wish I had an exotic location for the first post, but I'll have to settle for one close to home for now. Nothing elaborate here, but the simple, graphic pattern of the tree branches and color in the sky caught my eye. Hope you enjoy. Walker River, Mason Valley, Nevada.

No need for the exotic, every place is special. Looks like a lovely moment to have experienced. That looks like a great tree - definitely worth coming back to and spending some more time with.

Quite a nice one, Russell. The comp looks fine and the moment is well worth capturing. Maybe the branches touching the border isn't the best - a matter of taste. I could also imagine the sky being just a little more on the magenta/red side overall.

I like this too Russell and welcome aboard. I agree with Andreas about the branches touching, but is a beautiful scene overall. Thanks for sharing. Michael
