Egret Fishing

Another from the archives.

We'd been 'shooting' at the Klamath/Malheur NWR but it was hunting season so all the birds stayed well away from us. This Egret was fishing, successfully, just offshore of a boat launch ramp in a park in Klamath Falls OR. Happily it was a colorful sunset.

1D2, 500 f4, 1/500 @ f4, EV +2/3, slight crop.

Thanks for looking.

GORGEOUS lighting and you got prey. It looks plenty straight with good detail as well. Congrats

A pleasing image - the reflected sunset colors really make the image. It feels slightly tilted - I'd give it a very small CCW rotation.

Great light!
Nice action, reflection, BG and comp.
The dark area in the upper left draws my eye a bit, but could be lightened up if you wished.

Verrry nice. Love the warm tones, and the way the smooth feathers contrast with the disturbed water.
