WC417 Painted Hills

Took this shot on one of our trips to the Painted Hills in Oregon. We happened to get lucky and be there when the flowers were blooming. Thought this might work for the leading lines theme. I don't often do landscapes, especially not at a focal length of 1000 mm but the birds weren't cooperating.

1DII, 500 f4 + 2X TC, ISO 400, 1/50 @ f22, cropped to about 80%.

Thanks for looking.

Really nice landscape; the lines and the flowers work very well.

1000mm is a great focal length for landscapes.
Great use of flowers!

Works for me! The left line of flowers certainly leads me up through the frame. The focal length works well here.

Are you sure theyre flowers and not lots of tiny people with yellow hair? Maybe 1200 mm might have been better...
Seriously, an interesting shot; the flowers following the lines are pretty cool!

Great catch. I've never seen a line of flowers growing on rock like this.
