Gone tracking…

I’ll be away for the coming two weeks to do a special animal tracking course in South Africa so I thought this would be a nice notification of my absence. I actually wanted to post a good lion track image, but realized I don’t have any and this is the next best thing, a close up of a front-left blood-stained lion paw of a sleeping male…
See you in two weeks and meantime be good to Brad and please help him and the gallery out a bit by not only posting images but also by commenting on other people’s work!

Cheers, :wavey:

A very unusual view of a lion. Boy, you must have been close. I love the details in the fur and pads and, against my will, I even like the blood stain. Guy's got to eat. Good luck in your tracking class. Bring back some great images.

Not the usual shot, but a good one just the same.
Question! Where you on the ground (as opposed to in a vehicle) for it?....Izzy

Hey Ezra, no I was not on the ground!; taken from my vehicle, well sort of... crouched down silently next to my door if I remember correctly.

Great shot! Love the detail in the paw. Really shows what the track would look like. Maybe tracking guides should include images such as this.
