These springs fascinate me. It looks like the water is coming up out of the rock. However, it sounds like a deeply recessed waterfall is actually what creates it. Maybe next time I'll investigate it more.

Nice image Ron. How about some specs. These shorter broad types of waterfalls are very cool. Nice exposure and the comp is perfect.

Taken with a Canon 5D2 + 17-40mm. Two exposures blended. One shot was for the rocks and shrubs. This resulted in the water being blown, so I took another and blended it in. Pretty sure I was using a polarizer too.

Nice capture Ron, I like the contrasting colors of the greens and red rocks, and you did a nice job of blending things. My only nit would be the darker shadow on the top edge from that rock overhang. I'm wondering if you could have tilted the camera down a little more to exclude that. Pretty minor really, just a thought.

Nice composed image. The green is a nice contrast to teh rocks. Good job processing the image.

The contrasting colors really make this image. Great job on the blend.

I love the rich saturation here and the feeling of serenity. I'd love to just sit here and contemplate life for awhile.

Nice work... I think this would be a great shot to revisit when that tree on the far left bg has some color. Good stuff!

I like the comp and the story. The colors and light are great as well.

The greens feel a bit over saturated - also the far left does not have much interest - so you can crop some of that. But the scene is so inviting - the waterfall seems to come out of nowhere

Nice, Ron. I always like vibrant colors, and the greens here really sparkle.

Hi Ron,
This is one of my favorite places on the planet. I think your composition works well, but your colors look a bit off. Specifically, the wet rock around the springs looks almost purple on my monitor. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for sharing. Michael

Ron,
Interesting composition. It was confusing at first as I thought you were down stram of the small falls, but the FG eater seemed to flow toward the falls. That is neat.

Nice find Ron.
Maybe next time you're up there you could try a comp that concentrates on the main body of water and the rock around it. There's some nice detail there and, to my eye anyway, the lefthand side of this comp isn't pulling its weight.

I especially love the movement of the water. Maybe the contrast is a little strong overall, but that's just me.
