I come across this pine the day after the first snow fall in early December. When my wife saw the photo, she thought that the tree looked like a Ballerina. Therefore, the title "Ballerina".

Great title. I like the inclusion of the blue sky and touch of light hitting the trees together with all the snow (gives me the sense of a cold bluebird day after a nice snowfall). Something seems slightly off in the shadows, not sure if it could use more contrast or less blue tones in these areas

The tree has indeed a very unusual, but appealing pose. Overall, I like the image, but the bright area in the middle is distracting.

I have reduced the blue tones in the shadows and lighten the mid tones. The bright area in the middle is however difficult to darken, I have tried curve and dodging without success. maybe somebody can give me a tip?
I repost the changes.

Thanks for your comments.

Nils,

I can see what you were trying to convey and the tree does look like that, but the light for it could have been better. I would try this again, if you can, with more diffused light.
