winter wood

A simple winter scene recorded a couple of weeks ago in the natural park of Valle Pesio, northwestern Italy. I was fascinated by the pattern created by the small branches, by the delicate colors and by the shadows on the snow...
The large version conveys more clearly the sense of complexity, I think.
Comments and critiques very welcome.

I think your approach it good. The branches have some interesting shapes and colors and patterns. Overall, there seems to be to much branches and not enough snow. Perhaps balancing the complexity of the branches with the simplicity of the snow would help the comp. 2/3 branches and 1/3 snow seem like it might be a useful ratio.
