Nice capture of this butterfly and the great lighting. The soft effect frames the butterfly nicely. Is this natural or post processing? Great photo either way and if natural all the better.

Thanks, John. You're not the first to suggest some kind of software vignetting here. The post processing necessary for this, aside from sharpening and bringing out some shadow detail, was really pretty subtle. This is the raw image resized and converted to a jpg without any editing. Not even a levels adjustment.

Once again Charles great shot and as I hinted before the soft framing is all the better now knowing it's natural. I'm not a big fan of Photoshoping photos, in fact I don't even have photo shop. A simple RAW conversion software that came with my camera is all I use. RAW conversion, level adjust, contrast, sat and sharping is pretty much all it offers. Great use of your camera here. I enjoy the style of shots you've been posting. Keep them coming.

I like this image very much. The way the butterfly is perfect in focus and the surroundings are blurred, work very well.

Simply beautiful !
Very creative use of foliage to obtain the soft OOF area around the butterfly.
