WC 419 - Lone tree

I'll start this week off with one from yesterday. I went up to Wilson Lake, hoping for a good sunrise. The first 40 minutes of the drive, a light fog hung, so it was looking good. The last 15 minutes, it was pea soup fog. I didn't see the sun for almost 3 hours. This was taken right after the fog cleared, and the sun finally broke free. I had picked out this tree early on. 7D, ISO 400, 1/800, f/11, circ polarizer, cropped to vertical.

Rob, I like the frost dipped branches of your subject ... a side benefit of the fog that foiled your plans.

Great shot, Rob! The ice really brings out the details of the branches. Nice placement of the lake in the BG as well. I also like the remaining fog hanging in the air. Your patience paid off!
