Thirst for Color

Hey Everyone,

I have been exploring unprocessed shots as of late. I know everyone has a cracked mud shot in their portf. so this is my take on one. What I particularly liked about this was the light and color here. The late evening sun set painting warm and cool tones on the parched earth. The dry earth provided its own colors on top of the light adding its signature mark to this section of land.

I too apologize for a little lack of participation. My wedding is less than two weeks away and haven't had much time for anything else. Some last minute changes and stress but it will be all worth it. I have been enjoying the posts and it's encouraging to view during these crazy times, so thanks. I can't wait to get back in the saddle (photographically) upon my return.

Thanks for your time and comments

Anthony,
First of all--best to you in your marriage!
Second, this is a unique cracked mud shot. The colors and lighting give it a metalic look that really interests me.

Cool shot Anthony, one of the more unique "mudshots" I've seen. The textures/patterns/colors are great. I really like the rusty colored line going through the middle/right 1/2 of the image. That looks like a potential comp all on its own.

Best wishes! :wavey:

Beautiful light and textures here Anthony. I particularly like the darker band that meanders through the frame, lovely. Enjoy the wedding! :toast:

I really like the metallic look in your capture or processing. The luminosity is marvelous.

The light and texture you have captured here brings this beyond the typical cracked mud shot. Nicely seen.

Neat, has a great 3D quality to it. The dark line throws me a bit, because its all on the rhs. Since so much is symmettry and lines here--i prefer either the right or left half by themself. Since its an artsy shot to begin with it, maybe two verticals side by side

When I first looked at this, I saw cracked mod. Then there was texture, then shapes, then color. Lots of great layers here. Good luck and best wishes with marriage.

This is pretty stunning, Anthony. The colors and "glow" are magnificent. One of the best, if not the best, cracked mud photo I've ever seen. Congrats! :toast:

Yeah, I like this one for the different coloration than is normally seen in these shots. It also has a look that is becoming, or has become identifiable to you. That's not a criticism by the way. Not only do you have a great eye, but also you have great processing skills, and presentation. Congratulations, and my best wishes.
