This tree is not far from my home in NE Kansas.
It was badly damaged in an ice-storm 2 years ago.
On Valentines Day this year I ventured into a cold blustry wind (20 degrees) to fulfill the weekly challenge. Dedicated to say the least.

This tree deserves a cheer or two... it speaks of "endure and prevail". Hope all of us can say the same.

Here's 1 :toast:
and one more for good measure! :toast:
Poor thing looks like it was hit by an EF-1 tornado...
Cool subject, i like the shot, would like to see just abit more eveness in the tree's luminosity, maybe some fill light or luminosity mask for the darker portion.

The combination of large old growth limbs and the new growth after the ice storm speaks to this tree's perseverance. I would prefer that the branches didn't lead out of frame but still nice as presented.

The beautiful pastel sky makes a great BG for this wreck of a tree. That ice storm wreaked havoc on the trees for sure. Well done!!
