Another sparrow, this one an American Tree Sparrow from the snow-covered backyard again. I do wish more of his pretty markings on the back were showing, but will settle for this for now. The perch is like Rebecka's Blue jay's---a dead sunflower shaft.

50D, 500mm, Iso200, F8, 1/200 Please view LARGER version.

I like it as well Sharon. Great detail. I'm not sure what the branch on the left adds to the image however.

Really nice!!
Sharp bird, nice eye, good perch, non-obtrusive BG.
I'm also conflicted about the left branch..

I agree with Keith on that left branch, but it kind of frames the bird, so I personally would leave it. Although I might tone down the on the bird is on just a tad.

A very pleasing image Sharon, maybe a little large in the frame for this small bird. Great detail and colours though.

Really nice as posted Sharon. I like the brightness of the overall image and the great look at the bird. Although I think the comp would be stronger without the left branch, it is great as it stands. Sharpness and exposure on the bird look spot on.

Very nice background to bring out the bird and branches, the larger image was a pleasure to view, way to go.

Came out great and the snow gave a nice high key BG. We don't see too many of those BGs here and I find this a very nice change of pace.

Very clean and sharp image, Sharon. I liked the left branch more in the thumbnail and like it less with the larger version, as it is the only OOF portion of the image, which draws my eye to it. An easy fix, though. I love how the colors of the bird match the branch and BG.
