Bronia,
great light! I love the way the subject matchs with the background. I like the light on the eye too. :toast:

All works together very nicely. Grasses look fabulous and the head is lit beautifully. Great tonic for those of us experiencing horrible weather conditions.

Very nice capture! The light is exceptional and the golden tall grasses really highlight the bird in its natural environment.

Nice to see a Red Grouse posted ,but I'd back off on the saturation a tad here. The golden light is great though.

Great bird Bronia. I love all the rich colors and and great light in this image. Saturation seems a bit high, but that is easily toned down if you see fit to make that change. The bird's head might be a bit soft, but it is hard for me to tell for sure. Overall, a great feeling to this shot.

I like a lot this image, really different. The play of warm colors is very pleasant, and the red spot is a magnet for eyes.

Bronia,

I like the erect posture of the bird, the light and the setting. I agree with others who have said it seems a touch oversaturated, bringing that down would give this image more strength imho and just a smidge more room on the right would feel a roomier. It is a fine image as presented and would be worth the effort.

Really love the light here.

Beautiful Red Grouse! Fabulous light and composition. I shot them in Scotland in the 70's on B&W. Nothing like yours...
