Wild Turkey

This Wild Turkey was trying to trudge through 25 plus inches of snow. It just won't quit here in Pennsylvania. The background was a little busy but he never left the edge of the woods for a clean shot. It was very cold that day. I felt sorry for him.

Boy it does look cold.
I do not mind the background - it is natural.
The texture and color in the feathers is good along with the head turn.

Thanks
Dan

Janet, Nice pose, colors and details on the body! The hed is a bit soft -
Looks as if you might have focused on the back rather than the head - it
is tough with birds, as they rarelu hold still.
A bit more DOF like an 8 or so gives a better chance of getting the whole bird in focus.
The BG is fine - a nice natural habitat. and nicely blurred
Cheers!

Hi Janet. Nice shot of the Turkey in habitat. I'd like a tad more sharpening on the face.

I like the snowy setting and the turkey's pose Janet, it made me think of how my dog used to bounce through high banks of snow to get any where in my back yard and that made me laugh. Not that turkeys and dogs have much in common. A little more selective sharpening would make this turkey stand out more.

I like the tangle of brush behind the bird.
