Stormy Morning

This picture was taken in februar of 2009, by a branch of river Danube. There was early morning and a storm came from west suddenly,in the face of rising sun. It got dark. The island in the distance and the lowest clouds started to glow in red. It was a fascinating moment for me, hope for you too.

20D, 70-200/2,8, 200mm
ISO200 f/8, 1/60, 1stop GND filter, tripod.

Beautiful light and nice colors. If possible, moving the island to off-center would improve this.

Great light. The island really looks nice with that light hitting it. I like the contrast of the island with the shadowed shoreline. I think this is a very nice image.

Hi Istvan, I like how the lights and shadows play together. The clouds of the sky complete an extraordinary landscape.
( From here the sky looks a little "grainy" )

Great clouds. I do wish though that some of the shadow areas weren't so black. Probably impossible to do without a blend. I like this alot Istvan

This is very nice. The cloud pattern looks great and I like the warm light of the island surrounded by the blue tones of water and sky.

A wonderful scene Istvan. Sandy's thought of moving the island off-center is interesting, but it may take away from the sense of depth you've captured here, but maybe not. Thanks for sharing.
