Whoopers in black

On our way back Mark Hamblin and I spotted some whooper swans on a lake. We decided to go for it and walked to the lake unseen. The water was quite black and thought under exposing might work here. Just enough time to get some shots. A few seconds later people in canoes scared them off and went airborne.

iso 200 1/640 sec. -4.3EV full frame Nikon D3 - Nikon 200-400/4 hand held.

Have you tried this in b & w? Just kidding. This is really nice and I think it would work well cropped to a landscape format, too. Sharon
