Great Blue on Blue

I wasn't sure about this one, but it was the only horizontal I got of this bird. Shot last May in Bayou Sauvage, another frame of the same bird I posted a few weeks ago. It has been a rare opportunity for me to get images of a GBH in such clean surroundings, but this one cooperated for a truckload of images in the calm waters that morning.

Works for me!
There seem to be a lot of dust spots evident on the large version.

Nice shot... such finiky buggers. I have one at my camp and when I get within 300 yards of him he's gone...Next summer he is my priority...lol

Nice to know what a cooperative bird looks like.

I've never had one in front of my camera. Very interesting composition; I like the fresh approach to a common bird.

Looks like its dangling in space. For sure these birds are skittish, good thing this one wasn't. Like the exposure.
