Nikon D 300 1/100 @F22 ISO 200

A beautiful morning at Bombay Hook last November. Lots of birds taking off at dawn to enhance this sunrise.

Comments and critique please.

A beautiful subject, i like the combo of birds and sun, nice balanced comp---but the jpeg artifacts (banding/haloes) are murdering this. It also needs to be brighter overall. I would definitely read up some of the articles on this site on presenting your photo for web.

I like the birds and light. I'll second everything Stan mentioned. In addition, comp wise I'd prefer to see a crop off the bottom (perhaps as extreme as from horizon up) because for me the interest is in the upper portion of the image

Ditto Stan's comments. Great moment, and really cool concept.
