Snow in the Garden

I loved the simplicity the snow afforded this otherwise busier scene. I was lucky in getting this shot; as soon as I began setting up a group of college students came up and started climbing on the rocks. I just knew they were going to trample the snow. By some miracle they only walked on areas not visible from this perspective and I got my shot. This was taken at Garden of the Gods in the southern Illinois.

I can related to the trampled snow, glad it didn't interfere with your plan. Great shot

What a stunningly clean and elegant composition. There is absolutely nothing wasted here. The elements are well laid out, the balance between light and shadow is perfect, and the B&W toning IMO couldn't have been done any better here. Really well done, Taylor!

What a strong and clean composition! Even the thumbnail is striking. The light and your processing (and the hidden tracks) worked perfectly.

What a quiet and peaceful scene Taylor, it has a zen like quality to it. I love the choice to go B&W, but I'm not so much a fan of the toning.

Zen-like with the rocks and trees and clear sky. The toning feels a bit greenish. Not sure that's an ideal color for this.
