Hey everybody, it's been a while since I've spent much time on here. Here's an image from this past fall, taken in the Green Mountains of Vermont. I absolutely loved the conditions out there! There was fog, rain, and beautiful fall foliage every day of my visit.

Nikon D300, 12-24mm lens at 12mm w/ Polarizer
1.6 sec at f/13, ISO 200

Thanks for looking.

Oh yeah, this rocks. The comp leads me to the falls and that dreamy soft glowing spray. Glad you enjoyed our weather up here (I live 24 mi. from Vermont) -- many people call it dismal, but it it great for fall colors.
Did you add an Orton-style glow layer to this?

Hey, thanks for the comments so far. Wayne, I didn't add any Orton style effect. I'm pretty sure the effect was caused by condensation on my polarizer. I had capped it while it was still wet, and didn't notice the condensation until after a few shots. I wiped it off, and re-shot this one, but I just like the looks of this particular image more.

Great comp, wish there was a little more detail in the lower falls.

Excellent composition Alex! I like the subtle softness to this. Might crop just a tad from the bottom :toast:

Beautiful waterfall Alex, and delightful fall color and atmosphere. I might take a slight crop off the bottom.

The condensation effect is a plus here Alex, it fits really well. This a great image, clean composition, perfect exposure, all is working really nice. I agree about cropping just a little from the bottom.

Lovely colours. The moist rocks/boulders look amazing.

Thanks Alex, I guess the Orton trick is a substitute for breathing on the lens or a misty filter. The real thing worked great here!

As good as it gets Alex! This place gets shot to death, but this is easily one of the best I've seen from here. I echo Floris' suggestion on the slight crop from bottom.

Another great image Alex. I'm not too sure about the crop suggestions, I prefer the nice balance and feel the extra water at the bottom adds to the image. I'm glad you showed this spot last fall, I have three or four comps from here but none have the depth of your.
