Peeking Sun

Man-o-man... I can't remember the last time I posted something in the Man & Nature gallery.
Hi everyone :wavey:

This is a shot that I got at Bahia Honda in the Florida Keys over a month ago. Heading out to this location from where I live is truly a shot in the dark (whenever I'm not planning to camp there). It was a 3 a.m. wake-up, a two hour drive and a little time to mess around with compositions before the color sets in. The incoming cold front and heavy wind chilled me to the bone (this was just before the big freeze we got here in Florida). I was excited to see that the tide was extremely low, exposing the rocks that I was hoping to use as my foreground. The sunrise however, was disappointing. Clouds blocked the color that I hoped for, but I did notice that there was a small opening in the clouds where the sun might peek through. I was happy that I waited it out, because this is the only worthwhile shot I got that day.
The bridge in the shot is the old Flagler Railroad Bridge that once passed over the Bahia Honda Channel.

Oh, no green was added to the water BTW... I think that has something to do with the clarity of the water and the bluish cast of the clouds.

Thanks for looking!

Comments and critiques always appreciated

Sorry... I accidentally uploaded the wrong image in the larger version and I don't know how to fix that.

You could add the smaller image that corresponds to the larger one. Both are good images, well done.

It may have been clod when you took the shot but it looks warm and inviting to me. The FG and water have nice color and detail. I like it alot.

The larger image is also a good shot. Both are nice settings and show good detail.

Hummm - look like you discovered a way to post 2 images on the same gallery within a short time

Beautiful shot and great comp. I love the FG with the leading line to the sun, reminds me of an image I took last year on Lake George.
