This certainly has been done before, but I couldn't resist. I had a blast walking on Chapel Pond photographing all the interesting patterns, lines, and colors. This is one of my favorites. Taken the same morning as my last post.

Chapel Pond, Adirondack Mountains

Very strong comp. and the graphic nature is extremely appealing. I also love the color throughout with great contrast between the bubbles and background. Won't be seeing the ice for a while now, we got about 18" of wet snow in the last 20 hours with more on the way.

Elliot, It is a very strong comp like Kurt mentions. It really gets you thinking about space and time.

Fantastic abstract Elliot! Love the shapes, comp, and cold color. Yup, our ice is gone too now. Six inches of wet snow then heavy rain all day. Hope we get one good freeze again before spring....... Sick, I know.

Very cool down to Earth realism with an outer space abstract feel and pleasing color.

Agree. Powerful abstract. Catches your eye for quite a while! No nits for me. All just right in place. Congrats Elliot

I never tire of these intimate ice images. I really enjoy the graphic nature of this with all the strong shapes and lines captured here. I might consider a wee bit cropped off the top. Just doing a scroll with the browser I like having one bubble cut off on the top and bottom. Well seen and captured!
