Photo of a Male Jay having dropped his peanut, the look of horror in his face makes the image for me.These birds are really hard to get close to because of their shyness and jumpy nature, and this picture was only possible due to my good friend Ken,who lives in Wales/UK who has baited this site for over two years, allowing close up images of these beautiful birds. All I had to do was turn up and wait, this image is a result of luck+fast camera  It does have that comical feel to it,something I love to capture in nature as we all take things to serious I feel and often miss the funny 'bits'

Terrific shot of a very cool bird Craig. It may just be my taste, but I don't feel the peanut adds anything to the image. But, other than that it's well captured.

Beautiful detail and background Craig. That blue is just electric. Must admit I could do without the peanut - must be getting grumpy in my old age.

cheers

Craig,

I must admit that when I opened this I had to chuckle because it does look like the jay is in horror from dropping the nut. Well exposed, sharp, appealing image.

Looks more like an almond to me, but I'll take your word for it! I like this as posted; without the nut, he'd look constipated!!! Sharon
