Another local shot from what's left of the mature stands of Western Hemlock that we have around here.

Just beautiful. I realize the lack of strong contrast is a personal choice and it gives the photo a very interesting look.
Great work.

I like how you composed this forest scene. Beautiful light and I think the contrast is just right. Good work

Beautiful, I love the soft light and foggy conditions, perfect for this type of scene imo. The vertical comp definitely emphasizes the majesty of these big old trees.

Yup! The tonality, contrast, colors and orientation of this image really do capture the essence of this kind of forest.

I like the composition. It as it gives a sense of scale to the larger trees which can be hard to do in an intimate scene like this. The fog and soft light give a great mood and really set this one off.

Really like the composition with the strong lines of the tree trunks. Has a nice ethereal mood with the fog; invokes a sense of quiet in the forest.

Feels like a foggy cathedral, Tim. I like the verticalness provided by the trunks.

I really like the way you have captured the misty nature of this scene. It might have been tempting to add contrast, but I am glad you didn't! It works beautifully as is!
