First time I've done any shooting in almost three weeks. Winter sucks. And yes I know I'm whining and for those of you up north I do sympathize as you gaze out upon snow and ice. Chrissy spotted these daffys at the golf course down the street from our house. None of our stuff is stirring yet. I got a number of these in waning light this evening. This little scene gives me hope that the worst of winter is done. One silver lining to this season is that the spring wildflower forecast is very exciting. The bluebonnets are less than a month away! All comments, including chastisement for my whining, always welcome.>=))>

Strong diagonal composition Bill and very warm light. Perfect dof for my tastes and the bg is a fine complement to the subject. The mood of it feels like Spring to me. I'm ready for it too.

Yeah, stop your whining, Bill. We've still got snow on the ground. I guess it's alright as long as you post a fine shot like this. :wavey: :toast:

Bill, no chastisement, envy perhaps. We finally have a few bare spots showing here in Virginia. In fact, today I saw the foliage of a few daffodils just peeking through the ground, finally free from their shroud of snow. Your shot gives me hope. As for your image, really nice comp with some sweet light.

Very nice Bill! It is OK if you whine. With an el nino year, we have had a very mild winter and we need more moisture. We have a couple crocus up in the yard, but I would bet that the rest of them are a few weeks away still. Pretty shot.

Nice image, Bill! I like the light on the daffodils. And I am just as impatience for spring to arrive as you are! :wavey:

Very nice light and composition. We still have to wait some weeks to get these subjects here. But the worst part of winter has gone!

We all have a right to complain about this overlong, cold, snowy winter. We have not see 60 degress since early November in Parker. Thank you for this touch of spring in my day, Bill. Gorgeous portrait.

I love the snow, but 3 feet of snow in two days. I had enough. . Lovely daffs, I probably have to wait another 3 month to see those around here.

Lovely composition and nice lighting. I especially like the top bloom and wish the bottom bloom is just as sharp. Also the bud in the LRC is slightly distracting.

Hope spring comes quickly.

Ahah! Another fellow flower "sneaker up on" to steal a shot for the books. Yep, today (finally we are hoping to see the upper 30's) with snow on the ground (18 inches 4 days ago) and the other day I saw the first robin of the season (with grey flannels on) trying to stay warm. So yah, I envy you your blooms of Spring but our flower time is on the way not too long down the road. Beautiful light and attention to detail. :toast:

What a beautiful light you have caught, Bill. The delicate and warm sunlight has preserved the yellow of the flowers.
Cheers.
