Resplendent Quetzal

The most famous bird of Costa Rica! We visited the Savegre mountain hotel especially to see the Quetzal. Well that was not too difficult, as they live in the backyard, which consist of beautiful clouded forests. However to make a decent image was quite a task as they prefer to stay high in the trees. This was the best I could make of this beautiful bird.

Ellen,

Thanks for sharing the larger version, it is wonderful to see it larger to be able to view more throughly the details and habitat in this image. Love the colors, that great long tail and the head angle.

What a great bird Ellen. The larger image is really needed to appreciate this shot. Love the habitat and pose.
