This little deer came up to my kitchen window and just stared at me while I was at the kitchen table. I got out my camera and made a few images right through the glass.
Put image in Lightroom II, turned to black & white.Sharpened to extreme, then into Photoshop and adjusted the levels. Sharpened a little more.

This is a very nice work of Art. The high key/sketch appearance suits the subject very well. The wonderful thing about creating artistically process photographs of animate subjects is that their body language is preserved and really convey the spirit of the animal. Great work.

Love your composition, and I think the effects you chose complement the subject wonderfully! Really nice work! :toast:

Janet,
The high key works wonderfully here. Great detail. I might erase a tiny bit of the top of the deer's rump and right flank as it appears you may have caught a bit of the background in low contrast. Also, there's a tiny bit of black that needs to be removed along the neck. Tiny little nits to another wise stellar image...

Janet, I like the look you have created here. I am sure the image is straight but I might try to give it a slight CW rotation for a more balanced look. Lovely effect and work.

I love the fine details and that adorable face. The snow is very nice too. The black and white works very well with this subject.
