Early Morning Fog

This image was taken during the summer at Elk Island National Park, AB. After several failed attempts at capturing the early morning fog on this island on Lake Astotin, I finally was at the right place at the right time. I only wish that there were some cloud cover!

The fog is what makes the image, so it was worth the trips. I might be inclined to crop out some of the sky, and maybe tighten the sides a bit..

Wonderful mood - early morning light, a quiet lake and some mist. Very "romantic". I like it a lot.

This reminds me of canoe country. I haven't taken a real canoe trip in years. Reality is relative, but it is proportional to the length of the portages. This is a little too simple to stand alone, but it is very pleasant, especially to those of us who have been in such places.

Very peaceful. The centered comp works well to introduce a bit of an abstract quality to the composition.
