This is a store bought flower that was in an arrangement. Sorry I don't know the name. It's about the size of a quarter and is very hardy. I took this two weeks ago and they still look as good now as the day I bought them.
Manual Exposure with tripod, ISO 100, 6 sec, F 20, Canon 100mm Macro, side lit by window.
Thanks for looking and all C&C welcome.

Really nice colors, comp, and sharpness! My only nit is that one dark area on the right. It would be easy to paint in or smudge some white to cover it.

Wonderful image John, just a great pattern to this flower. My only suggestion is a slight crop from the right to remove the dark area.

John, Beautiful light and detail. I agree with either cropping or cloning some white over the dark spots on the right; however, that's only a small nit and easily modified.

John, this is really a great shot, capturing all the repeating pattern in the petals with good sharpness. The white and greens look very well exposed and are appealing to view. I like the tiny tips seen in the first row of petals from the flower center on the left. After that, I agree with the suggestions for the small dark areas on the right edge.

The thumbnail grabbed my attention John. Looking back I agree with the concern about the dark spot of background where there is no petal. A crop, Sand's suggestion or a shifted overlay on a layer and then layer mask in the "missing" petal would work. As with digital imaging, other possibilities are possible from more creative minds than mine. But your vision saw the spark that started this. I like the gradation from the greenn to the white, with no blown out areas. Well executed from that standpoint. :toast:

I've seen and taken photos of these tiny guys myself.. with the crop mentioned, this will be a perfect take .. I also like the green coloration and the excellent exposure..

John:
Nice to see your post again. Very nice repeating pattern and great details. Also like the increasing brightness towards the peripheral of the flower. Love this. :toast:

Really, really nice John. I, like the others, would get rid of that right side dark area and this is over the top nice. Great job :toast:

John: I guess I'll pile on with the others regarding the dark triangle on the right edge but that's a pretty minor nit for me. Getting this kind of detail at this image size is tough and you handled it superbly. Most excellent.>=))>

Thanks for the input everyone. The dark area definitly catches my eye and I tried filling it in with the stamping tool. I like it much better, thanks again.
