We finally have had some sunshine in my part of the world! Almost a full week of it! Glorious, glorious sunshine!
A friend of mine and I took advantage of the good conditions and went out to the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary. They have a 40 acre lake that is home to a lot of birds during the winter. Unfortunately the bubble system that is used to keep some water open for the birds broke awhile back and the new system can't be installed until the ice melts. So only a little bit of water remained open. The results were about 1/4 as many birds as usual and not as many types! Oh, well, we made the best of what we had. The trumpeter swans made my day.

Great job with the exposure. I love the textures of the feathers, the nice catch light, and the curves of the head/neck.
