That's some really sweet light and great focus on the face Barry, I'd definetly include some more room at the bottom if you have it, if not it would be easy enough to clone in if you wanted to.

Nice light. Overall seems just a touch dark. I'm guessing you presented it this way as the light was relatively low. As Nate noted, some more canvas on the bottom would be a big help.

Stunning light and a great opportunity. The blurred upper wing is a shame, but I'd love something like this in my files.
Definitely add more canvas to the bottom and some in front of the bird if you can. I'd also crop more off behind the harrier.

Very nice late, late light. Love the sharpness on the head and the overall position of the bird. For me it def needs more room on the bottom, a bit less on the right, and a bit more on the left. Just my preference for comp for a shot like this.

Lovely soft light and delicate detail, definately worth the effort putting a bit of space under the wing.

Nice shot! I like the light and focus on the face. Could be be cropped tighter, but overall I think it's a great shot.

Great shot, Barry. I love the light in the image. The wings give a sense of the action/motion involved and attests to the fact that you were able to capture this speedy hunter at all! The eye is mesmerizing; it has a look of absolute intent.

The light and detail in this is great. I do wish for more room on the bottom and in front . Great job!

Barry, getting the male at this flight angle with direct eye contact and sharp in that light at 1/640 is quite an accomplishment and I'm duly impressed. I like the bird itself very much but I agree with the nits about composition. With that background though a fix should be easy if you should choose to do so. Really nice!

Great eyes and overall shot. I agree a little canvas on the bottom would improve an already great image.

The comp on the re-post is much better IMO. I like the bit of motion blur while still having the eyes in sharp focus.

Great light Barry and the face is razor sharp. I'd be tempted to give it a little more room, particularly at the bottom.

Amazing late light and position of the bird. The expression is of determination and that's great too. I agree about the bottom room
