In keeping with what looks like a pier theme in this gallery, I am posting a shot of Scripps Pier in La Jolla, CA. Taken this winter - this rock formation is completely covered with sand in the summer.

Any critiques appreciated...

Very interesting, Daniel. I thought those were sandbags at first.
