This young bull (Cervus elaphus) came out after 3 hours waiting. The light and the surround were beautiful.

ISO 200, f/5,6, 1/160, tripod

Every C&C welcome.
Thanks

Beautiful. The side lighting makes for a dramatic photograph.

Hi Istvan. I really like the way the remaining beautiful orange leaves frame the deer. The large tree on the left also helps in the composition. Excellent exposure, retains the dark mystery of the forest. Interesting for me to see the homeland of my ancestors.

Excellent composition. I like how the side lighting creates a canopy of colorful leaves over the dark background and the bull is side-illuminated within the dark hole under that arch. The bit of snow does a nice job of cleaning up the foreground detail and adds some sense of forest floor that wouldn't be there otherwise. In the large edition the detail looks is nice and crisp. Thanks for posting this one!

I love this Istvan! That arch of backlit orange leaves is just too good to be true and you used it very well in your composition. I have only one very small nit and that is the tightness at the bottom. Great work and well worth the wait! :toast:

Hi István,

Put me in the camp of those who like this image very much. Very nice use of side-lighting and I find the natural orange "frame" of leaves very visually appealing. The darkness of the "hole" behind the bull adds to the mysteriousness of the image. Very well done - from image capture through to post processing. Excellent!

Thanks for sharing this memorable shot!

such an elegant picture! Partly because this bull looks so skinny  . I like the framing with the leafs a lot.
