Sony A700
Minolta 24-85 @ 24mm
ISO 200, 1/15 @ f11

I can't seem to catch up with all the shots I took in Canada last Summer but it sure is fun revisiting them from time to time. Taken at the Morraine Lake outlet. All comments welcome.>=))>

 This is not as sharp or as saturated as the image in PS. Worked up in sRGB so I'm especially curious about the color fidelity. Any suggestions?

That's a pretty epic scene, Bill. Your composition really shows off the scale of those mountains. I'm seeing some pretty bad haloing between the ridge and the sky. Looks like maybe an attempt to fix chromatic abberation? Without that this would be an awesome image.

The larger version is "cooked" very well. The colors look saturated but authentic. What an incredible place.

Majestic shot, I just love the depth, the perspective. I see the technical issue as well, but a wonderful capture.

Nice to see a somewhat different take on the icon. Lovely work. Some extra pop via vibrance and contrast would help make this sing.

Man those mountains look so big here. The processing nit shave been noted, and I could see a touch more color added, otherwise it looks good Bill. Glad to see you stopping back in here.

Hey Bill, nice image. I'd like to see some more contrast in the mountains, then you'd really have winner.

Great image! Love the foreground and detail. Maybe just a little more saturation?

I really like the perspective Bill. Very majestic imagery. Only nit is the halo which has already been pointed out. This was one of my favorite places after Bow Lake though the weather was not as good when I was at Moraine Lake last summer.

Beautiful scene Bill. I like the FG as much as the peak. I'm on a lousy work monitor (uncalibrated) so I'm afraid I can't help you on the color.

Bill,

Excellent photo which really displays the size of the mountains while still showing off the detailed charachter of the wood.

As for the color, I've been having the same issue as of late where as soon as I close out PS and open the photos in another program they lose their warmth and it's something I've only noticed recently.

Bill,

I really, really like this. It almost has an "anti-Velvia" look to it - and I mean that in a good way. Takes me back to KR64. I like the natural, yet very rich color. The clarity and detail is excellent front to back. This is great.

Wonderful foreground with a great view to the mountains behind. I like the complimentary colors here--the logs and the mountains seem to match--and that sort of ties the frame together.

Mountain majesty is what came to mind when I first saw this Bill (and Psalm 19). Really spectacular.

The high key look gives this image a real ethereal quality. Quite opposite of what most photogs do here. Great to see something different. Nice job Bill.
