The Lonely Shack

This is a shack in the middle of a field near my house. I plan to take a series of photos of it this year as the seasons progress. This one was taken after the final snow of the season. A bit of a gloomy day.

70mm 1/1600 f/5.6 @ 70mm

Two gradient filters applied in post. One to drop exposure in the sky and one to bring it up for the field and shack. Exposure over all bumped.

I am interested in any all feedback, but particularly if this looks like a series that might be interesting.

Kevin, IMHO it is an interesting photo, but the shack is too small in the smaller image, the larger image works well. I would consider cropping abit so the break in the tree line was not there. Also I would drop the black border on top and bottom, I think they distract. This should be an interesting series and I look forward to seeing the seasonal changes. What was your ISO?

Welcome to NPN.

Thanks John.

Very good point about the break in the trees. I agree the shack is small. Need more lens or I need to trespass :)

I knew I forgot something in the details, ISO 200.

Here's a cropped version. I agree. It is much better.

Could also work as a pano, lots of cropping possibilities. Very interesting and graphic.

Thanks for the repost, it is better IMHO. If this were mine I would try several different crops just for the fun of it.
