Local park at the Lake attract 100's of White Egrets each year for nesting time. All I do is stand in one place and they fly right by me!

Nice shot Eric. I like the position of the bird and the stick in the beak. Nice and sharp too. I might add a bit more room in front of the bird for it to fly into if this were mine. Cheers.

Impressive image, Eric. The details, in particular of the wings, are very nice!
It is really difficult to believe you did this shot with a 70-200 lens!

Very nice, Eric. Great techs, and impressive detail for your lens. I agree with Ron that a little more room for the bir to "fly into" would improve a fine shot.

Not that hard to do when they fly with in 30 feet of me. I brought 500MM but wasn't needed. This bird was set up in his flight pattern and all I had to do was wait about 3 minutes and he would fly back and forth.

Love this shot! I agree that a little more space would be nice, but the image and detail are wonderful. Besides, if they are that used to humans you'll have plenty of other opportunities.

Very fortunate to have the egrets fly right by you Eric. Better still, you knew what to do with your good fortune. Wonderful image, especially like the light on the wing feathers.

Nice ob on the exposure and it looks crisp at this size, Eric. I like the wing position and composition, though it feels a bit tight. :toast:

Really like the way the light is coming through the wings and the nesting material in the beak. Maybe just a little more room on the bottom.
